A waterlily can be the centerpiece of your watergarden whether you have a spectacular display, or a single, simple, beautiful flower. Make sure you get the right one for your location and pond. We have waterlilies that can be grown in small tub gardens or large natural ponds, and every size pond or container in between. We even have waterlilies that can be grown in an aquarium!

One of the all-time favorites among hardy lilies. IHL Nymphaea 'Colorado'

Useful in medium-sized ponds, Colorado can also form large colonies of free flowering plants. Flowers are rich, pink-peach, and produce a sweet fragrance. Colorado will maintain foliage in mild winters and has been known to bloom out of season. Leaves are lightly variegated medium green, up to 8" wide. 3-5' leaf spread. USDA ZONES 3-11.

This changeable waterlily is yellow with a rose-apricot blush when first opening and gradually changing to a coppery red as the blossoms mature. Outer petals tend to retain a somewhat yellow color, stamens are orange. USDA ZONES 4-10.

Also known as N. 'Aflame'. The most brilliant of hardy reds. A uniform shade of vermillion-crimson with garnet stamens tipped yellow. Blossoms have a rich spicy odor,and are about 7 inches across. This is one of the best red hardies. Its flowers are long lasting and strikingly colored. This waterlily is not a rampant grower, so it is not likely to overwhelm even small ponds. USDA ZONES 4-9.

This is one of the all time favorites for vigor, beauty, and size. Leaves easily reach 18 inches in diameter and are beautifully mottled with irregular purple variegations. This rare offering is one of the smallest of the water lilies. It comes from Madagascar, and is the most recently named species of Nymphaea. It produces small leaves, each with a red spot in the middle, and small pink/white flowers. It will grow and bloom in an aquarium or a pond, is shade tolerant, but will live in partial sun, and it reseeds freely. Can be grown in small barrel ponds on warm patios, or in well lit terrariums.
