Also known as Hollandia, this waterlily has huge, double, light pink flowers that are darker in the center and become a deeper pink with age. It is an early bloomer, and slightly fragrant. This waterlily is recomended for the medium to large watergarden. USDA ZONES 4-9.

  • Flower Shape:
    • Double, like a double peony.
  • Flower Color:
    • The inner petals are light pink, deepening with age. The outer petals are almost white and darken to a very light pink.
  • Flower Size:
    • 6 - 7.5 inches
  • Leaf Shape:
    • Round. The lobes may or may not overlap the sinus. The leaves can vary considerably, even on the same plant.
  • Leaf Coloration:
    • Green, the new leaves may be brownish.
  • Leaf Size:
    • 10 - 11 inches
  • Leaf Spread:
    • 4 - 5 feet



      Darwin is free flowering, and highly recomended for the medium to large watergarden. It is a considered a favorite by many. The blossoms make fine cut flowers and have a slight fragrance. A full grown specimen can be a wonderful sight.
