Long, narrow leaves with tightly undulated edges, green on top, red beneath. Not a fast grower, but will form colonies in a well established aquarium. Wants quiet, moderately well lit water. Great for back of the tank planting. As with all Cryptocorynes, C. retrospiralis reproduces by runners.
