Bluebells - Ruellia sp.

Semi-woody, marginal shrub. Grows to 2' to 3' tall. Spreads by stolons. Leaves are lanceolate, up to 4 inches long and 3/4" wide, and light green to purple with age. Purple, trumpet-shaped flowers flowers are produced in clusters on thin stems that arise from the main stem at the bases of the leaves. Flowering occurs in July, August, & September. ZONE 8
