Banded Bulrush

Tall, erect, pointed stems grow to 8' tall. Green with white banding up the stem. Especially on the new growth. Tufts of small, white and brown flowers are held on the ends of the stems. Will grow in shallow water or on mud. Excellent as a strong vertical line against a wall or to define a corner. Brightens a shady area. Spreads by rhizome. Will form dense marginal colonies if allowed to. Fills in quickly.
