This changeable waterlily is yellow with a rose-apricot blush when first opening and gradually changing to a coppery red as the blossoms mature. Outer petals tend to retain a somewhat yellow color, stamens are orange. USDA ZONES 4-10.

    • Cuplike, grows more stellate with age.
  • Flower Color:
    • First day: yellow-apricot, deeper toward center.
      Second day: gold-orange flushed pink.
      Third day: deep orange, center petals flushed red, pale yellow tips.

    • 5 - 6 inches
  • Leaf Shape:
    • Nearly round, a little longer than wide.
  • Leaf Coloration:
    • Green, the new leaves are bronzy green with purple and brown flecks.

      Comanche is one of the largest and showiest of the orange changeables. This lily does well in both northern and southern regions of the US, and will do well even if it doesen't get a lot of sunlight. This lily is recomended for medium to large watergardens.
