      Calla lilies are outstanding plants for shady or well lit ponds. The leaves are long-lasting, grow to an impressive size, and lend a tropical look to any setting. Both flowers and leaves may be brought in for use in flower arrangements. Prefers to grow in shallow water to exposed mud, although it will tolerate long periods of inundation in several inches of water. Give rich soil and divide every two years. Native to southern and eatern Africa. Zones 8-10.
