American Water Snowflake - Nymphoides sp.

The standard water snowflake. Heart shaped leaves, clusters of bright, white flowers. The flowers emerge from the stems immediately under the leaves. From these sites, young plants also form, which, in turn, produce their own flowers, and so on. An excellent plant for covering large areas with almost instant color. ZONE 8

The name Nymphoides means "lily-like", and while the leaves are similar, the flowers are very different.
